Sapporo Moerenuma Park: Designed by Isamu Noguchi

Approximately 10km northeast of the city center, this wide and modern artistic park was designed by the world-famous sculptor Isamu Noguchi in 1988. At that time, the marsh of Moere-numa was a dreary waste disposal site, but finally it completed in 2005 and today here is one of the most popular attractions to locals.

The park is dotted with a lot of geometric objects such as mountains and fountains, there is an excellent playground and beach for kids. Near the main gate, the Louvre-like Glass Pyramid contains a gallery, shop and French restaurant. Winter sports gear and sled can be rented here.
