Sapporo Asahiyama Memorial Park: Excellent view of the city

Sapporo's Asahi-yama (旭山記念公園) is a pleasant hilltop park with excellent view of the town especially at evening. Pick up a box lunch from the supermarket or snacks from the on-site rest house. From here, a 4km-long hiking trail leads to the summit of Moiwa-yama (531m).
Take the hourly bus 13 from Maruyama-koen Station (15min; ¥210).
